Hey! So in the last week I noticed that the seat does not move to the correct position when unlocking with the key fob. The strange part is the mirrors do move.
For example, my wife's settings are stored in #1. If I drive the car, I get in and have to hold down #2 and the seat and mirrors go to my position. Drive car and forget to turn off the memory. Exit car and lock. Unlock with keyfob #1. The mirrors move to memory position 1, but the seat stays the same. Press #2 and the mirrors return to my setting.
The seat memory works, but I have to hold the button down with the car off instead of just tapping it like before. The key fob appears to be coded to the memory positions, as it moves the mirrors. Just not the seat. I tried the procedure to re-pair the keyfob to the memory position and same result. It moves the mirrors and not the seat.
Thoughts?

I just bought a used one off fleabay, same p/n, plug and play.
Some aggro removing the door trim panel but otherwise relatively easy.

Would pulling power to the car help at all?

Two screws, one at top on left, one to on right of trim.
Remove winds switch cluster with screwdriver in from underneath (hole) engaging clip pressed toward rear to release.
Bring trim panel up 20 cm and off (also release Bowden cable to latch).
Remove insulation, discnect connectors, unscrew Mede and replace.

OK, so here is something odd, that may help to diagnose the situation. I was checking things out again today. Locked the car with the keyfob, unlocked it, opened the drivers door and got in. Closed the door and reopened and got out. Walked away from the car and I heard the doors lock again.
I know the system does that when you unlock it and then don't open a door. So...the car seems to think the drivers door was not opened. When I open the door the overhead lights come on, but the foot well lights and red light on the back side of the door do not light up.
Wondering if this is part of the problem? I noticed the mirrors adjust with the keyfob whether the door is opened or not.
Still the memory recall module or something else?

Problem solved!!!
It was the door sensor/switch. It was not seeing the drivers door as "open".
Did the "quick fix" of spraying some WD-40 in the latch and presto! The door light and the drivers foot well lights came on along with the "key in ignition chime".
Tested and all is well now. Might need a new sensor or repair later on, but who knows...
