Secondary Air Pump Squeel at start up ????

Secondary Air Pump Squeel at start up ????
The secondary pump stated to make noise (squeel) during start up, lasting @ 30 seconds, then sound goes away. Has any one else experienced this. The dealer said it was OK as long as it didn't continue. Has any one ever replace theirs and how easy of a job was it?? The noise apears to be getting louder, it may need to be replaced soon.

yeap i experience the same problem.. i believe thats what it is.. even though it really makes me nervous nto knowing for sure =<

Are you sure it is not the water pump or an idler pulley that is on it's way out?.....
I think that you may be able to pull the plug off the water temp sender, the start up and see if the noise is still there. If the secondary air pump is not running but the noise is still there then I would panic and get the water pump and belts etc. checked asap.
