Should I change transmission fluid/filter?
I have a 2002 3.0 Quattro with 155k on the transmission. I don't know if the fluid has ever been changed, I only know that I had the torque converter replaced about 10k miles ago and he had to top off the fluid then. My car seems like it sort of jolts back sometimes when it is shifting up, should I go ahead and have a new filter and new fluid put in, or will it only make it worse given the limited history I have on the car and the mileage?

Do it, I had the exact same problem. On an upshift it would feel like you just ran over a deep pot hole. Filter/fluid change solved the problem. It wasn't an immediate fix, I had to drive around quite a bit for it to be fully fixed but six months later I haven't felt a damn thing. Plus, it's always good to replace a fluid if you don't know the last time it has been done. My local German specialists shop but in *Febi/Bilstein fluid* Idk if the 3.0 has the same tranny but that is what they used for my 2.7T
