The Dahlback Racing ECU reprogramming limits the torque to 305 ft-lbs to be within the transmission limits. I got that along with the their transmission chip and the combination was fantastic. It transformed the car into a fast quick and smooth shifting beast. You should also change the diverter valves and turbo hoses as they are not designed for the added boost. Dahlback will give a discount on them when you get the chips. You do need to send your ECU out as they change the memory/program chip. Theirs is not a re-flash like GIAC or APR. You can find a local tuner through their website or you can follow the directions and remove it yourself. It is worth it for the 2.7 with tip. As for exhaust, the stock is OK, but you can have a competent exhaust shop do whatever you want. I did the Magnaflow but there's also many other choices. The easiest is to chop off the stock mufflers and have replacements welded into the same place.
Good luck... There's probably pics in my picposter.

Thank's Murph... That was the best advice I've gotten on the chip situation. I've heard alot about the tourque being too high with other chips and never knew about the Dahlback you're speaking of, sounds perfect.. I'll definitely check it out..

The difference between stock and the Dahlback was like putting glasses on when your vision is 20/200. Granted IIRC the torque on the 01 was 260 ft-lbs or something like that. However, for about $700 all in with ECU and tip chips + hoses and divertor valves, it was worth every cent for me.

For what it's worth, I installed a GIAC chip at 74k and now have 145k on the vehicle (mostly highway). I did have to replace the clutch and flywheel, so there is something to the extra torque issue. Other than that, no problems and I use Mobil1 0W-40 every 7-8k. I strongly suggest a low viscosity if you're driving turbos in cold weather -- they need a good oil bath even when frigid. I've started mine in -8o F weather and was thankful for 0W, since everything else moved like it was in mud.

The Mobile 0W40 oil is not considered synthetic any more.. too much controversy... also it breaks down pretty quick.. so I recommend for the same price get another Synthetic oil.. search on bobistheoilguy.com
I have begun using Rotella 5W40 Synthetic..and the car runs much better.. Castrol 5W40 is also supposed to be great.. or try the Shell Synthetics..
