Which side is Bank 1 for O2 sensor on 4.2?

Wait, Im confused.....Is Bank 1 pass side then?

Bank 1 is the right side. Passenger on US cars, which are known as "left hand drive."

Default WOW...didn't realize this was a hard question.....

Left/Right should always be taken as if you are SITTING in the driver's seat.

Bank 1 is the right side.
Bank 2 is the left side.

In the US, bank 1 would be the passenger side.

This is obvious as bank 1 contains cylinders 1-2-3-4. There is no such thing as a Bank 0 (at least on an Audi).

The lower number is on the passenger side and the higher number is on the driver side....except for those poor sods that drive on the wrong side of the road in ye olde commonwealth.
