needs to be a performance summer tire, I've been running Toyo proxies for the last two summers and have absolutely no complaints about them. I will probably stick with Toyos unless someone talks me out of them. Like maybe Goodyear F1?? Oh Yea, NO CONTINENTALS!!

Very good tire for the money. I have used these on 2 different cars and enjoyed them both. My next set for my summer wheels will be these as well...

Click for tire info

The F1's are pretty comparable to the Toyos in ride and turn-in characteristics. The Toyo's are great in the wet but the F1's are better. Plus, the F1's are not quite as noisy late in life.

KDW NT2 are way more noisy that F1's, especially when they wear out. I would also say that they have softer sidewall, but that's just my opinion based on the way my steering feels.
If wet performance (especially on standing water) is not much of an issue, I would highly recommend Falken RT-615's.

but ran like they were on rails in the twisties. The 9000's do seem a bit better in the rain.

I looked into them also because the local Costco sells them for $165 per corner in 255 40 17 mounted, balanced, etc. Most reviews say they get very noisy very early, although grip is supposedly very good. I'm still looking too. I think if I'm going less expensive, its going to be the Falken ST115's (~$110 per tire), or the GY F1 GS-D3's (~$180 per tire) if I decide to pony up and go for the best.
