Default Slotted DBA's = The suck

Having tried them on my 02 and having vibrations, with the conventional wisdom being "They don't like Mintex pads", I tried them on my 04 with EBC V4 pads. After four hours of swapping pads and rotors, guess what, they are even worse. The car vibrate's like a cell phone on silent ring. It's not the pads people, it's the rotors. There is a problem with DBA slotteds. I'm guessing that the spacing and angle is causing harmonic vibration in the pads and calipers that is so bad you feel it in the floor pan of the car. So after two different model years, two different sets of pads, a combined day of labor, , I have determined that, they are 300 dollars of junk waiting for my scrap dealer to pick up. Why scrap? What am I supposed to do with them? I can't sell them to anybody, and they make crappy paperweights.

Default I've got them with Mintex Reds...

I'm running DBAs and Mintex Reds on my '01 2.7t. I've had zero problems - in fact they're significantly better than stock.

Perhaps they sent you the wrong Rotor Hat Height for your Model Year ?
