Default Snow, snow and more snow!

Having a winter snow warning. We expect 25+ cms and high winds(10'' or so for our friends below the 49th). My son is expecting to stay home from school tomorrow... don't have the heart to tell him that we can probably get through just fine! So for all you unfortunate drivers who have to drive on plain old dry pavement, Quebec and I (he's in Montreal, I'm in Ottawa... close enough when you get one of these storm fronts rolling through...) will be enjoying drifting around looking like April's sig! (except for the four rings on the front!)

Default Re: Snow, snow and more snow!

I live in Western New York(east of Buffalo)--noted for snow(81 inches in 4 days in Dec 2001.
Mo\y 2002 A6 is only 2 weeks old but had a chance to try it out on 5" of snow and ice--It is awesome--I will never go back to 2 wheel drive until I move south.

That's the sound of rocks hitting your car and salt corroding your undercarriage as you enjoy your quattro.

No thanks. :-)

Default Whirrrrrrr................whirrrrrrrrrrr.......... .......whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........whirrrrrrrrrr

That's the sound of you being stuck in the snow spinning your rear-wheel drive wheels, while the pinging, cracking, swacking Audi quattros head on their way to work, spitting gravel and stones toward your car as they pass.

Default beep - boop - boop - beep - boop - boop - beep...

okay, then, that's the sound of you calling your wife from your cell phone and having her come pick you up because your rear-wheel drive 540 is stuck in the snow and she needs to take you back home so you can climb aboard the MDX...

Default Speaking of snow....

...Sunday River (Maine) had awesome conditions this weekend. We got hit with a few inches this past Sunday morning and the conditions were awesome (4-6 inches of fluffy powder in most areas). This pic was taken Sunday morning at 8AM.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough snow on the roads for me to have some fun with the A6.
