They probably pulled a "Chrysler"
put it through an auction out of state to clean up the title a bit. Some dealer probably just sold it to an unsuspecting joe or jane.

Where I come from...
Where I come from, Audis are very classy cars. Prices of Audis BMWs and Mercs are very close to each other, and all three have the same prestige. Audis and BMWs are the sportier brands, Mercs are more "old man" cars.
