and what are your impressions so far? was it easy to get accustomed to?

I'm considering tracking down someone with a VAG-COM to do this.

Default Just tried to do it yesterday ...

Unfortunately the Vag-Com did not hold the code. It could be that my car is not drive by wire. With a supercharger I certainly wanted to give a try. B-T-W did you ever do Sebring? How was it? I was just there on business so I couldn't resist taking a detour to the track.

Default It is a snap.......

The Tip was my only complaint about the car. That complaint no longer exists. I can't tell you how many cars I have smoked off the line secondary to the recode. At the stoplight, leave it in "D" and drop the hammer. It stays in gear in 1st, autoshifts at redline, and part way through 2nd your competitor starts turning into a rear view mirror dot. People get really pissed off when they are spanked by a 4000 lb daddy car.

From what I have read people love it. I just did a search 00032. Some Positive comments. I plan on having my local tuner shop do it although as you stated if you find someone with a vag com and a laptop your in good shape.

Good Luck and Stay Cool.

Default Over time I realize the tranny map is much more natural feeling -

I don't find myself playing with the throttle as much to get the tranny to behave. The 'bog' at low rolling speeds on acceleration is lessened also, and easier and faster to overcome if it occurs. I am pleased with the results.

'splain to me please: when you leave it in Auto mode, off the line it will stay in 1st up to redline even if you don't give it at least 75% throttle? or, if you're just rolling off the line will it auto shift from 1st to 2nd at an RPM just a bit higher than before the recode?

Only tried in WOT. The redline autoshift is in all gears at set rev limit.

Default Here's some links to comments and info. I'm also pleased...

with the result. Did not like the "econo" mode it slipped into occasionally. It is now consistant with no surprises when power is needed.
