Default Solid royal blue interior...when was it dropped?

I have found a silver '00 A6 4.2 I am interested in, but the sales guy I spoke to thinks it has a solid blue interior (yuck!). I have seen solid blue on silver '98-'99 2.8s, but never on '00+ cars. Was a solid blue interior ever available on the 4.2?

'98 to '00 only. It is navy. Love it or hate it - must see.

Default I had it and it is a great interior color for a balance between ultra dark and the light interiors .

it wears extremely well and from the outside it looks black. Very minute differences with heat absorbtion. No reflection on windshield. I thought it had class and it is different enough to elicit compliments.

It looks very good with silver. As April stated(she is the resident authority), it was discontinued in N.A. after '00.

If you don't like it however (which it appears you don't), nothing I say will change your mind.

Default Somebody posted pictures many months ago of a silver 00 4.2 with blue interior when he was selling

it. Even if you find the pictures, though, it won't help you that much. You can only tell if you'll like it in person. If you're predisposed to hate it, which you seem to be, then a picture also isn't necessary....

Default Still available in Europe.

Dropping royal blue upholstery was yet another odd Audi of America decision. Royal blue was my first choice. I settle for royal blue - vanilla.

Default Thanks for the info. Looks like its probably blue then.

I actually do not mind the blue leather, its the plastic pieces and carpets that i dislike. Seems to look cheaper that the black or tan. Looks like something out of a Chevy Corsica...
