Default Someone made my day!

This morning (we are 6 to 9 hours ahead of the USA in South Africa) I went to the nearby shops with the S6.
As I come out of the shop there is that guy talking to his girlfriend enthusiastically looking at my car.
I walk up to him, and said "So you like my car?".
He answered, "Gee Man, this is of the best five cars in the world!!, I read all about it" and we carried on talking about the car.... for a few minutes.
How about that to start your day!!! Never happened to me before....

Try the E46 M3, expect a party everytime you come back for your car in the parking lot.

Default Let him enjoy his day!! :-)

He came out and someone was admiring his car. Let the guy focus on that and enjoy it without worrying about the other four cars. Isn't it a kick in the pants to just see someone else enjoying your car choice?

Default Subaru? what's that Toyota's copies with an attitude?

When it comes to Ferrari, Porsche and other supercars, people look, but they don't get too enthusiatic. Jealousy maybe?

Default Cool ! Had it happen once in Jerome AZ. Except they were big bad looking biker dudes.

Wasn't sure if I should slink off and come back later. Turns out one of then was an Alfisti and was going to the annual natioanl convention.

Default M3: You're obviously NOT in the Bay area

Last week, I had three M3's within sight of my mirrors, plus a 5-series and a 3-series wagon. This was driving down Lawrence Expressway. Common as dirt. That's why I couldn't talk myself into buying one. Where I work, you can easily find 3-8 BMW's parked next to each other at several spots in the parking lot. If you buy one, most people here say "Oh...you got a new BMW. That's nice. So, how's work?"

That's not a slam, by the way. A6's are becoming more common too, so I'm enjoying the compliments while I can. I'll be glad when the new body style DOES come out, so that my car won't become any more common.

Makes the Toyota Echo seem like a wise choice! I've only seen 4-5 of those this year.
