Spark plug replacement question

Hello
I have a 2000 MY 2.T 6 speed, at 98,000 miles, original owner, great ride so far.
I overlooked getting new spark plugs at the last oil change. The plugs were changed last at 55,000 miles; service manual says every 32,000 miles. I am still approx 4000 miles from my next oil change- it is an inconvenience to schedule a visit just for plug change; do not notice any driving differences yet. Should I wait for another 4000 miles or get this done now? What could be the dwown side to waiting? Thanks.
