Special order exterior colors
How much does it cost to special order a color on an Audi not avilable in North America? I have heard different things from different people on this board. Some people on this board say to special order any color not available in North America is $1,700. Others say to special order a color unavilable worldwide on a particular model (such as Nogaro blue which I believe is an S4 color) is $1,700 (if special ordered on an A6) while to special order colors curently avilable on the A6 in Europe such as Nemo blue pearl effect or ebony pearl effect are $500. Ebony pearl effect used to be avilable on all A6s in North America while Nemo blue pearl effect used to be an A6 4.2 only color in North America. If anyone knows about this please tell me? TIA.

$1700 for non-A6 colours on an A6. Nemo is V8 only.
As the S4 is out of production, is there any other regular Audi available with Nogaro ? If not in CURRENT production, colour is not available.

I just did this..........
According to AoA, my dealer, the Exchange in Highland Pk.,Il and Champion Audi in Pomopano, you can order any world-wide Audi color for $1700.
According to the 3 aforementioned sources, there is no $500 option for a non-US A6 color. I ordered ATLAS GRAY for my A6 (available on A6's in Europe) and the surcharge was $1700.
Per Champion Audi (they order more "special colors" than anyone)they did have a paint job come through with a $500 line item on the sticker, but that was an AoA error--the price is $1700.

I think the surcharge amount is an absurdity
Imagine hitting North American buyers for $1700
extra for what is little more than a check mark choice for anyone else. You may want to express caution, when doing this. God forbid, if you ever need any body work in the future, you may need to ask you how much trouble will it be to acquire the correct paint code? Or if its a specialized finish, whether the body shop has the experience working with it.
