I'm a little bummed, because I spoke to my preferred dealership today about my lease coming due soon. He said I have two options: 1) buy it out for $30k, 2) The dealership purchases the car from Audi, certifies it, then sells it to me for an agreed upon price with warranty. I intended to go with option #2, because I thought I could fit in some high-priced mods into the new payment.
But, the kicker is that they can't add any mods like BBK, RS6 kit, etc., into the payment. I would have to fund those personally separate from the new payment.
This sucks, because this is a company car and I wanted them to add it to my payment. I can't personally afford the other stuff.
WAAHHHHHHHH!!!! Who's got a violin? I need crying music...
Now, who's going to finance my mod bug???

did not add anything to the value of the car (it used to be that you could roll wheels into a lease, and have it bump up the residual slightly - not any more) and in fact could lower the value of a vehicle. So they limit how much over the Blue Book (or whatever evaluating service they use) a car can be financed for. Usually it's 10%.

I guess if I purchased it now, I could sell it for a great profit to lay down on another ride and still have room to give someone an awesome deal.
