Does anybody know or has anybody attempted to order an A6 avant or Allroad with Audi sport seats?... ala sport seats found on the A6 2.7t (sport pkg), A6 4.2 (sport pkg) or S6?... If this is not possible are there any options to swapping out the standard front seats?... If the anwser is 'no' guess I'll have to look into a used S6 or last of any remaining new 2003 S6 for the wife and kiddos... Thanks

As a mutual Avant owner, I've contemplated this myself a few times. I have seen several S4 seats available in the classifieds and on ebay.

1) Both seats should fit into each others racks etc (A4/S4 sport seats as well - I think).
2) I think the sport seats do not include airbags in the side bolsters (I might be wrong though).
3) You'd need to do some serious research with the Bentley CD to figure out the different wiring schematics. If you have an engineering degree, this should be a piece of cake.
4) Seats with the memory option (drivers and/or passenge) will need to be taken into consideration.

You might want to find someone on the Forum with the 2.7T or 4.2 sport packages and find out if they want to trade seats. There has got to be someone who doesn't like the feel of those sport seats. This is why we're all part of this forum.
