Default Sport vs Comfort rear seat question

OK so I am about to trade my 2001 4.2 Sports for Comforts. The question is: Are the REAR seats different Sport vs comfort? valkr1e Certainly has comfort seats up front, but pictures of his rear seats look identical to mine. Obviously, sitting in them will tell the difference but am hoping someone has already determined this...

Default try again; both sport and comfort have horizontal lines

...at least in the tungston "whatever" interior. There was that brownish/reddish interior.. was it called Ambition, or Ambiente?...that had the vertical lines. Front Sport seats are easy to distinguish because they have a separate deep side-bolster on the seating portion, and deeper side bolsters at your rib-cage.

Default It depends on the "atmosphere" interior package...

the "ambition" atmosphere had the vertical stitching in the seats, but the "ambient" package had the horizontal. However, the ambient comfort rear seat will likely only ahve three "sections" in the middle of the seat pad, while the sport seats will more (5+?) sections.

You should swap front and rear, just to be safe and to be sure the leather of the front and rear match perfectly.

FWIW, the "Advance" atmosphere (Audi had three) has horzontal panels.

No worries mate. I know you 2002+ types tend to forget about such 2001- issues. :-)

Default Boston Driver STANDS TALL IN THE SADDLE!!!

well son-of-a-gun. I even had pictures of the rear Comforts out there in the back of my "Sport" and couldn't see it. INDEED! Sport rears have 5 panels on the seating area, 6 panels on the back; valkr1e's Comforts have 4 and 4. --so I'm thinking that the rear Comforts are appropriately softer as are the fronts. Thanks again BD! (this was beginning to interfere with my concentration at work)

Default Link to pictures of my comfort seats, for everyone else's reference

<a href="http://69.64.3.7/A64.2%20Stuff/Comfort%20Seats/seats.htm" target="_blank">linkity link link</a>

I was a bit confused about what exact seats I had as I saw alot of comfort seats with the vertical pads as opposed to the horizontal.
