Am thinking of replacing the Shock Absorbers on my A6 Avant (4B C5) , went to order some today and was told my car has "Sports Suspension" as opposed to standard . Can anyone tell me what the difference is as mine is only a 1.9 TDi Final Edition and I would have expected it to be just the normal .

As per Audi, the Sport suspension is:

While the 1.9 TDI was not available here in the US of A, it's worth noting that the Sport suspension was not available on the base model 2.8 and 3.0. It was only available as an option on the 2.7T and 4.2 and was standard issue on the S6 and RS6 with all of these models being equipped with quattro AWD.

Hey Todd

Another way to confirm if the car left the factory with the sport suspension is to check all its PR numbers. You can enter them here and see if the sport suspension is listed.

Thanks very much for the heads up on the PR codes ...... dumped them all in and it came back with this 1 in particular

"PRCode: 1BE = sports suspension/shock absorption"

So now I know for definite
