Default New developments...

thanks for all of your input!

tried the graphite
tried removing the first aid kit
tried driving with the backseat armrest down.. no luck at all BUT if I hold the armrest down with my hand while driving, the noise goes away.. any thoughts? If it is the armrest, why would the noise go away when someone is sitting in the backseat like it does now?

MIL = mother in-law = malfunction indicator lamp LOL

Default if it is the armrest...

then it's most likely some hot leather-on-leather action you got goin on there. get you some ky, i mean, lexol or other leather cleaner/conditioner and try to clean the leather around the armrest as much as possible, especially around the base/back of it where it pivots.

the reasoning that it can stop when someone is in the back seat is rather simple: there's weight on the seat back that's pulling the leather away from the armrest.

Default Re: sounds like it is latching. Could it be the armrest, which is in the passenger seatback? Or

I have the same problem with my S6. Don't think it is the leather sqeeking, seems like it is the seat latch.

Default it's attached to the bottom seat cushion

you can't seem them in this picture, but you might be able to get a general idea, there's a tiny lever under the seat cushion near the back, in this photo they would be right above the black covers under the seat. they're recessed in the foam, so they won't be immediately visible.

the circles are where the seat cushion retaining clips are and where they attach to, you just lift up on the front of the cushion and then pull it forward, just be careful of any heater or airbag wires.
