Default No fluid in the bushings.

"from behind the center bore on the inboard side" I'm not sure where you mean. Ball joints have grease, bushings are webbed rubber.

Default there is rubber between the outer housing of the control arm, and the center...

bore where the bolt goes through. By inboard, I meant the "big" end of the lower control arm. Thick fluid emanated from the cracked rubber, which bore the brunt of the impact. I should have kept it, instead of tossing it in the trash

Default Are you sure that the fluid came from the bushing?

I suppose it is possible that some of the originals had it, but that would really surprise me.

Default Could be the control arms as others have stated or (if Xenon equipped) the Xenon Levelers...

those things can squeek like a **** after a while. When the control arms where recently done on my car (at 125k) we noticed that 1 or 2 of mine were VERY squeely when you moved them (they move up and down with the suspension). Took a liberal amount of WD-40 to quiet them up.

Default

It might just need lubrication. Spray the bushings with lubricant.
