I have a 2002 A6 2.7T 6 speed, stock. I am getting a chip, exhaust and piggies (maybe down pipes). Does anyone have any 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for this type of setup? I don't want to look at the tail pipes of Grandpa's CTS-V.
Now to open a can of worms... any ideas one chips or exhausts? I like the idea of the Revo's SPS, I like APR because thier "cruise control program changer" & 93 octane chip (in Texas we have 93 octane gas), and the GIAC X because I have a friend that has a GIAC in his VW and loves it.
I want a car that is fast and a solid daily driver.
Thanks,

I have a friend with an S4 set up like this. It is FAST, not even comparable to stock. You shouldn't be very much slower with your A6. He doesn't to standing starts, but at any rolling speed he is faster than my 05 STi and faster than my friends 06 STi. He just walks away from us...very frustrating. Both STi's are stock.
The CTS-V has another 100hp over the STi. Good luck, but I think you'll need more than a chip and exhaust to beat that car at freeway speeds.

you go full stage 3.
I have a CTS-V and i will pull away from most stage 2+ S4s (which are lighter than A6s). Some stage 2+ cars are just unexplainably fast...but that's only a handful.
Stage 3 cars... different story.

this is not your grandfather's cadillac. she handles, she goes, she stops like a performance sedan.
fear not... I am selling the CTS-V for a new car. I will be returning. =)

thats assuming times of 13.5 versus a 14.4-14.5.
Whats kind of amusing is that for a stage III Tip V Stock Tip, the difference is almost 100 yards in a 440 yard race!

Go with GIAC for the chip: I drove a friends Allraod with APR 93 oct and Milteck cat back, my car with nothing but chip had more noticeable low end grunt. I have had APR in the past, and they are always fixing something with their software, it has not been as relaible as my GIAC. As for exhaust, until he told me he had a Milteck, never would have known, it's that quiet, even under load. You would never know from stock, but car definitley spooled faster and had crisper throttle response.
With a car like the A6, I found it took a lot of time to aprreciate all of the little details, it's an expensive car anyway, so do yourself a favor, and if you upgrade things, do it with quality parts and indy shops. FYI, you won't realize how much of a dog the car is stock until you chip it, then switch to stock for your dealership maintenance: then you will understand chips![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
