Hello all. I've got an odd question. I have a 2000 A6 Avant with the bose stereo system (bose speakers, head unit with both CD and Tape deck.

My question is if the wiring for the steering wheel controls are in place so that I can simply swap an airbag with those controls in place of my standard airbag on the steering wheel?

I also need to know (for safety's sake) if there is anything special I need to do to keep that airbag from detonating while doing this minute surgery?

Sorry, No buttons now. Want to add the buttons. Already have the good (yet stock) stereo factory

I'm thinking of using a 4 spoke with radio controls and heated for use in winter. Apparently, my S6 with the 3 spoke wheel isn't heated? So, is there interchangeability? Will I need a new clock spring, etc, or would it be plug and play with immediate radio, tip and heat functionality?

but if you add a steering wheel with control, you need to update you car on vag to tell the radio you have steering wheel controls
