Default Strange Issue

Hello,

I have a 2003 A6 with just over 103,000 miles, last night on my way home my car went into 'limp' mode 3 times with the Check Engine light blinking. The it only lasted for about 10 seconds and maybe 5 minutes in between incident. I was very on gas and the warning chimed and then a few minutes later this happened. I have not ran a vag-com diag, but I wanted to see have anyone else experienced this also, or what should be my first corrective measure.

Thanks,

Had that happen at WOT a couple years back . I cleared codes and it never happened again . I think it was bad gas in my case.

This is a what Bentley says for 2003 A6 with 3.0L V6.

Top photo is passenger side, bottom photo is drivers side. So, cyls #1 and #4 are at front on each bank, closest to cam gear (timing belt).
