Strange question...in Tip mode in my '04 4.2, there seems to be a "stumble"

at about 2800 RPM and 3/4 throttle. It drops about 200 RPM, seems to lose power, and then speeds up again. Is this normal? I know the 1-2 shift is automatic even in Tip, but didn't know if anyone else sees this.
Thanks for any input!

Turns out this is "normal" even though hard to believe. Seems to be attributed to Audi's infamous acceleration problem of the mid 1980's 5000 model. Blame it on Drive By Wire throttle...Seems ironic that GIAC markets the TipChip and CPU chips as performance increase, yet the throttle lags... I have adapted my driving style and subsequently SLAM back into "D" for full power band. Although the TipChip does have advantages over OEM chip.

I was wondering what you used to accomplish it, and how difficult it is (I never use my ski-sack anyways.) TIA
