Strange question...in Tip mode in my '04 4.2, there seems to be a "stumble"

Default Could it be the point where the variable intake manifold changes the length of the runners?

Mine used to do the same thing. I wondered if it happened when the 3-stage intake manifold on the A6 switches to the second stage. Another guess is that on the A6 the second stage is designed for fuel-economy, not performance. Maybe the first stage is for torque off the line, and the third is for full-throttle or high-rpm performance?

The S6 only has a 2-stage manifold, so (im guessing again) that it skips the fuel economy stage. RS6 has single stage, which I would guess would be designed for full-performance.

Can anyone confirm or deny my theories?

Default It was easy.

I've bought one of these at Walmart. Took the ski sack out, modified the door on the fridge to open the other way, installed a light bulb in it with a micro switch on the door. It holds 8/12 oz pops. Great on long vacations. It takes 2 hours to cool down 8 pops.

I am thinking the same thing. You might have a vacuum leak.

Then check the fluid level. Second gear needs a lot of fluid.

Default : )))) That's really cool (pardon the pun) So what is the power source? Did you wire in a....

12V socket through the left-hand compartment? Just curious... Definetly a worthwhile mod! And who can argue for the price (especially since I never use that ski sack! You're setup is a lil diff though, since you have an A8. I just noticed that you don't have 60/40 rear seats...I never knew the A8/S8 platform didn't come with 'em!

Default Here's a pic of my rear ski-sack opening. Does it differ from your setup at all? >>
