maybe not audi but i also got a new bug and this giant red tahoe backs up into my rear bumper at about 9mph and my vw was fine. The tahoe got scratched up somehow. I took the drivers info just incase. My major worry was transmission damage to my car. Btw this was a brand new neighboor that had just moved in. Great way to meet me huh?

Same happened with me. I was rear-ended by a Crossfire ..they got $6000 in damages to their front half, and I just ended up with a rear bumper cover with deep scratches, and the plastic tow cover broke ..that was it.
My car was refitted with another OEM bumper and painted in 4 days, theirs took 5 weeks. The insurance estimate guy said my car was built like a tank, after seeing the other car. They hit me hard enough to drag all 4 tires about 4 feet when locked with the brakes.
