Default Stupid rear sunshade, anyone have similar problems

So, when it's cold, my sunshade doesn't work well (it doesn't roll up, and ends up folding up when closed. On the way down it sways back and forth instead of one "smooth" operation).

I asked the dealer to look at it a few service appointments ago, but of course they found nothing wrong (or probably didn't even get to it).

A week or so ago, when it was freezing cold (amazing for CA), it finally really broke, folded up, and I had to attempt to straighten it. Now it sticks about an inch up from the rear deck when closed, and rattles like crazy (ugh!).

I'm at 32000 miles, and the next service is too far away. I almost feel stupid about taking it in for that, but it's screwed up now, and looks ghetto.

Anyone have similar issues with theirs?

I have always thought that it would be the first thing to break - seems flimsy. No problems so far!

Default Mine stopped working one day, then the next day resumed normal operation. Weird.

Checked fuses, electrics, operations. No idea what caused it to fail for one day. But it works now, so I won't complain.

Default No problems with mine. Agree with other - take it in asap

Could be a safety or ticket issue if it blocks the window?

No problems with mine. Just used yesterday. Take it to dealer, shouldn't take much to fix.

Default yeah, I've had those problems every now and then, usually I keep it up

cuz it helps to keep the car cool.

I know what you mean though, it can sometimes be annoying how it folds and sticks and such- and its an off and on again problem- I'd just take it to the dealer to fix it. they should accomodate you (customer's always right! right???)

Default one of my right speakers is going (and they can't blame that on a bad cd again), so I'll take it in

for now I'm driving excitement again in Redmond.

I miss my A6 already. heh.

Default Take it in if it's not a hassle. That's what a warranty is for.

If it ain't excluded then what's to feel silly about? Only silly if you leave it hanging there. Don't know about you, but I use mine nearly every day.
