Suggestions on what to do with discolored/faded chrome window molding?

Not personally. But hopefully the ones who have done it will chime in...
I know $240 worth of puddin did it, as well as tybmw. Search under my account number, key words "Euro RS." The post where I asked about Black Optics trim should come up. Also search for a post by JD797, using the key words "painting my chrome trim black." (I think that some people may have left input there as well.) Hope that helps a lil bit..

I sanded my trunk strip with 2000 grit paper...
it came out with a beautiful satin polished look (nicer than new imho).
I did masking-tape the painted surface of the car so-as not to scratch the paint. DISCLAIMER: IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE TRYING PROFESSIONAL-GRADE WORK, THEN STEER CLEAR. I am only saying what worked for me. Fine steel wool might give a similar result. agaon, Be very careful not to touch your paint!!
