The S6 now has summer and winter wheels and tires I'm happy with, but I am now looking for suggestions on a dedicated track set-up.
Summer: BBS CH 18x8.5s w/ Bridgestone Potenza S-03s in 255/35ZR18 90Y

Winter: Ronal R38 17x8s w/ Nokian Hakkapeliitta NRW 255/40R17 94V M+S

Personally, I like the elegant, fluid lines of the CHs over any of BBS's cheaper, more angular models (and I appreciate the visual similarities to Formula 1). Their bright color is their only weak point in my eyes. But, alas, they are really too big and too heavy to feasibly mount track tires on (as I'm sure you didn't seriously think that was a possibility).
Oettinger RE's: I love 5-spoke wheels, but only on the smaller Audis; I think they look kind-of silly on the larger Audi models.
I had actually been thinking maybe SSR Comps w/ Pilot Sport Cups.
As for the "rings", they're purely a nod to the Coupe Quattro era, as I felt the larger modern Audi S-Car rings a bit excessive, and I was looking for something reasonably subtle. It's clear, you're of the "Audi as Luxury Brand Only" school, which is okay with me, for that thinking is what keeps the S-Cars in a more 'niche' market, and allows those that like them some exclusivity and freedom from the mainstream.

and I love the look of the rings on your car. Very nice. As for track only wheels, our P-car race cars and track cars run Fikses or Kinesis forged wheels. You can see the different models at the link below.
Good luck,
E. J.
PS - my favorites are are the Fiske FM5 as pictured above - but get the more subtle non-polished color. Nice part is these wheels are all custome made so you can get any offset, size, and finish you want. Damage one, and only replace the part you hurt - center, or two outer rim halfs.

Track wheels at Wheel Enhancement

Did real well at Pahrump(Spring Mountain). They also come in 275/40-17's which may fit your wider wheel wells. Brian4.2 runs the comps and 275's on his A6 4.2
