Re: vag com can do the same, just recode your tranny
Found this thread...I was wondering why my car (2002) felt so much more stout from a 'dig' (stop) when in "S" mode.
I assumed the torque converter lockup was being electronically controlled, but it makes sense that its starting in 1.
Hm.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1265445&forum_id=74">http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1265445&forum_id=74</a</li></ul>

There has been talk about a C5 4.2 SC for like the last 5 years, yet I have yet....
to see any of the tuners actually offer one. Until I see one offered and/or hear of someone on this forum that has one installed, to me it will be a myth.

Re: supercharger- UK Ebay
That looks like a Lysholm/Autorotor mechanism. They are very reliable if thats the case, and produce boost with much less heat than your typical eaton/roots type blower. You have to stay very conservative with the boost on those things though as your 4.2s have some seriously high CR and it could make things go BANG without enough fuel and timing retard. I had on on a Lincoln Mark VIII putting out around 550 horse.
