Would a faulty/ torn TBB throw a code? I know this is a common failure and i don't even know where to look to see if mine is intact. I'm sure a loss in power would be a common indicator, but I'm hyper-sensitive to any change in my car's preformance,so much so that I think I'm always gaining/ loosing HP's. Where would I look to find the boot and what is the best way to tell if it needs replacing? Like I said in a previous post just staring at this engine isn't helping, but I feel with enough time and help I will figure this thing out.

I've never had mine go bad, so I'm not sure if it would throw a code but I wouldn't be surprised either way. I do know you would be losing some power, probably alot unless the tear was really minor.
Anyway, it's easy to check and replace. Check this out:

Just make sure you get the tabs on the bipipes back in the slots. You'll see what I mean, when you move them away from the throttle body boot. The tabs I'm referring to are on the lower edge of the bipipes.
Otherwise...very easy. Pull the entire throttle body off and clean it, while you're in there.
