GIAC has the tip-chip that goes along with the ECU flash.

Default My bad, my friend has a '01 and he got the tip-chip. I assumed it was for all 2.7Ts. Easiest

way to verify is send Jeff Moss an e-mail or contact GIAC/Tuning Shop.

Default You need to go to the local GIAC dealer and have your TCU scanned.

They need to know what specific model tranny you have. Apparently, some of GIAC's Tip files aren't compatible with the new encrypters. For instance, my tranny requires the 156DR file from GIAC.

BTW I've got a 2002 model Tip.

Default Any performance upgrade will put more stress than if you were stock. For the most part, the

internals are pretty good at handling the extra power. Just make sure to do the proper warm up/cool down and maintenance and you shouldn't have any problems.
