Default Temporary CV boot

Anybody tried one of these? Can't do the boot at the moment but I figured I'd give this $16 bandaid a shot until I can get it done properly.

Not an option at the moment. This will have to do for now.

Default Can't see any harm in it, so long as it seals properly.. The key obviously is to keep the grease IN.

and water and dirt out. Good luck!

Default Have used that spilt boot many of times in the past, only once

had a problem getting it to seal. I always said it was going to be temporary, I would use it until it failed. I expected it to last a couple of months. Strange enough, they all lasted for the life of the car. Now those cars I never kept more than a year of so anyways, but that little boot is tough.

Jeff

I say use it until it fails.

Probably a great way to protect the existing ones from damage/debris/dryness
