Is there any way to disable the Xenon Headlight Range Control through Vag-Com?

So after driving my daily 50 or so miles, the warning light never came back on!

I think I have successfully addressed the issue, because it was coming on every single day before.

Remove Range Control fuse. Remove cover on drivers side. The location of the fuse is on the inside of cover.

If the original thread poster found and fixed the problem 6yrs ago why would you suggest something already mentioned that helps nobody.

If you're having the same problem as the original poster, then go back and look at some of the earlier responses. I had my lower control arm bushings replaced at the dealer, last year, so they could do a full alignment. The tech neglected to reattach the flimsy little bracket that the sensor arm connects to on the control arm. Soon as I remounted it problem went away. And yeah, probably zombie thread for some reason.

Start a new thread with more info about the car, the light option you have and your problem, posting to a thread that is 6yrs old along with a non relevant one from March of this year really hacks this thread to bits with no real info.
