Default Is there Eibach pro-system with shocks for 4.2?

I only see the 1580.140 pro-kit with springs. Does anyone know if pro-system for 2.7t shocks fit in the 4.2? If not, do you think that replacing the springs only would improve handling significantly? Thanks.

Default does it make sense to just change springs not shocks?

I'm not looking for real performance here...just wanna stop the "float" and a little better cornering.

Default

would changing shocks or springs affect auto-leveling?

Default The exact part number varies depending upon...

...when your car was built, whether or not it's a quattro, whether it's a 2.8, 2.7T, or 4.2, sedan vs. Avant, etc. They have specific kits for each model.

You can use the link to go to Eibach's "Application Guide" to get the number for the kit built for your car. (Once you link to the Eibach site, just click "Application Guide" in the top left corner of the screen.) Then, after you select your model year and "AUDI", as you look through the different model choices, be sure to pay attention to the range of build dates. You'll see, for example, that in year 2000 there is no Pro System (springs + dampers) or Pro Dampers for cars built in November and December, only the Pro Kit (springs only). (If I recall, 2001 production began in July of 2000.)

Eibach Application Guide
