I think the boring plastic shift **** Audi puts on everything from the A4 1.8T to the $62,000 A8 is a little cheap looking, considering the otherwise luxurious interiors you find in the A4 2.8, A6 and A8 models. Mercedes, BMW, Lexus and Jaguar have a far more attractive and substantial shift levers.

Is there a wooden **** one can buy to replace the plastic shift ****?

While on the subject of Tiptronic: Why did Audi decide to put the Tiptronic gate to the right, away from the driver? It seems that for spirited driving, you would want to have the shifter closer to your body.
