or the cassette adapter, it's time to change.

I just installed the P.I.E. Interface, under $120.00 with shipping. I've been trying to decide which way to go on this, either phatbox, blitzsafe, or the icelink. I decided on this and like it a lot. The iPod is now dedicated to the car and I use the new Nano for workouts, etc.
The good stuff:
Excellent sound quality, really sounds as good as a CD.
Very, very easy installation. (Disconnect the battery) Open your access door, take out the jack and look for the foam plug cover, unplug the CD changer, plug in interface, put jack back in. Here's the hardest part, run the ipod dock connector cable to the front of the car!

It lets you use the steering wheel controls to change tracks, the FF button, the scan button, and it does charge your iPod as well.
The Bad stuff: Access to the click wheel is locked out, and the display only reads "OK to disconnect" while you are using it.
Somewhere in between stuff: You have to set up six separate playlists and label them CD1, CD2, etc, as the headunit sees the interface as the changer.

I like this because it charges, uses the dock connector, and looks sleek

I couldn't look back, I love using the iPod in the car. the great part is I can use the headphone jack and plug it into ANYTHING if I'm not using an iPod.
