Did you have to remove the rear deck lid, or the shop was able to tuck the tint film in there without having to cut around the brake light?

removing the rear shefl is not easy, but possible with enough patience. Se my tech article below (from the power rear sunshade install)...

rear shelf removal

"There are three metal clips along the forward edge of the shelf, and another three metal clips underneath...Very easy to remove, just pull the shelf to the front of the car, and the metal clips should release." What's the tricky part than? Thanks.

...to get the shelf to the point where you can slide it off the clips, you must:
-remove the rear seats
-remove the side bolsters and unfasten the lower anchor points for the outboard seatbelts
-remove the C/D pillar trim
Then, yes, you can remove the shelf.
FYI, here is what my rear window looks like (with the sunshade up), but you cannot really see the cutout for the 3rd brake light...this picture is kind of crappy...I'll post a better image at home tonight)...

...and sorry if it repeats itself below in the sig rotator.

at the edge of the windows where there's the fade-out effect with the dots. The tint never really satisfactorily binds to that part. You end up with an unpleasant effect. You see on my rear window at the outer parts there's the OEM blackness, and in the middle there's the tint. At some point they join together and you can see a lighter colored ring.
