What I have experienced on 2 to 1 DS (more like regular shifts on less smooth cars) is normal.

STFA = Search the Forum Archive??!!!

Hopefully you could tell by my msg that I was trying to be helpful. Relative newbie here but saw in a 'dictionary-like' post on audiworld that SFTA = Search the Forum Archive.... not the F'ing archive as I have seen in other places.

Apologies for breached code of conduct. Not purposeful.

I always assumed it meant Search the F@cking Archives.

Probably meant this way by some.

2001 A6 TIPTRONIC, 54K WHEN IN TIPTRONIC DURING DECELERATION I CAN'T SHIFT TO FIRST. IT AUTOMATICALLY GOES IN AT 4-5 MPH WITH A CLUNK. UPON ACCELERATION I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE SHIFT FROM 1-2. IS MY TRANS MESSED UP? HELP! JUST GOT THIS CAR 2 MONTHS AGO AND AM NOT SURE WHAT'S NORMAL.
