They can be found on ebay occasionally or you can buy them from the rebuild places. Not too cheap though, $80 or so.

Well actually yes,I have experience in that field and I have seen a rebuild in process before with that particular model it looks intimidating however my friend says the book is written really well. It's not too bad at all. Just bought a stage 3+ rs6 turbo kit. I understand the tranny is the weakest link when trying to achieve 500whp. With this particular set up. It looks like some shops like Level10 provide a milder torque converter, clutches,and valvebody. I spoke to wickedmotor sports out of California, and he heard some customers have problems even with that of set up on their transmissions when putting that type of power down speed gear # 5 clutches were burning out. I plan to remedy that problem with either custom clutch disc or even possibly a lower ratio gear in #5 . Don't know the values of that one yet . But I just bought a junkyard tranny.
