Using OEM Pirelli P6000 for about 35k miles and are good til fall, there're noisy like crazy! The replacement bugs are on me! Shall I go for GoodyearEagle GS-D3 on sale, or go for Toyo T1-R . Any feedbacks are welcomed! Thanks in advance!

My 4.2 has just chewed through tires. It currently has the OE Michelin Pilots but I hear the Conti Contacts are very good and you can get them in an "Ultra High Performance All Season" blend -- which although not as good as pure snow tires should be OK in shallow snow. The Pilots are horrible in snow! So I'm thinking the Contis may be a good replacement.

For sport... you can't go wrong with any of the following:
Michelin Pilot Sport
Michelin Pilot Sport 2
Toyo T1-s
Goodyear F1 D3
Bridgestone S03
Pirelli Pzero Nero High Performance
Dunlop SP9000
All fantastic tires!

Quieter than average for the amount of grip at hand (and not that much louder at the end of life), very smooth and predictable break-away, no tramlining issues, reasonably good in rain, and plenty of feedback over not just the big stuff, but also the little stuff too.

Second on the Toyos. Very light and quiet tire, and you can run a 255/40 17 size on a 17x8 rim.
