BMW recommends not rotating tires.

For 2001 it was definitely at 5k, for 2002 it is at 10k.

Well for me it was some twisted Catch-22, I scored an o-fer on the free rotation. Oh well.

Default Wow, that's weird. I know they rotate the tires on my brother's 1996 530i and my father's 1999 740iL

Do they give an explanation as to why it is not reccomended? What kind of beammer?

Default BMW has had no-rotate policy for at least 10 years

First ran into this with my '93 E36. As you can imagine, this is a fairly controversial view. I once visited all the major tire websites and they all recommend rotations for all tires and offer 3 or 4 different patterns depending on drivetrain.

Default They might not have a policy, but they do it at my local dealer. Is it that they don't have a policy

or that they reccomend against it? I would think they just don't want to do it for free.
