Tire to Upper Links Clearance?

I posted in wheels and tires and got some generic responses about how I should get some different wheels. Not what I asked, so I'll try in here. My tires on my A6 are 255 40 zr17 (25.03 x 10.04) and I have 35mm offset wheels.
How much taller of a tire can I run without risking the tire contacting the upright or upper links? I've found an incredible deal on some almost new Yokohama uh... don't know the model tires almost new, but 255 40 zr19, and some Piaa 19x8 35mm offset wheels. This is 2 inches taller, same width, same offset, so I'd need an inch more clearance around the whole diameter. What are the chances these will fit? I don't want to buy them if they aren't going to, and I really don't want to run spacers if I don't have to.
