It was annoying to me that you could not control the transmission between 1 and 2. ( my friends 2001 BMW 530i Shifts up and down between 1 and 2) I like that car alot by the way too. Hes got a topaz blue one with grey leather and xenons. its fun to downshift at times going around corners slow to go down to first i mean in second the thing is ready to stall and thats no fun...LOL But it did not cure my lag in trans take of do all the audis have this? because The dealer keeps telling me its fine do all of them do this or are they waiting for it to break? The Lag that i refer to happens when accelerating from a slow roll the trans is in second gear then takes a sip of coffie then the caffine kicks in and were off.... The dealer tells me this is normal
I did notice the loaner A4 with under 8k on it the trans felt like **** whifing at high speeds my car does this much much smoother it would bang into 5th in the A4 and thats a 2004 model.
