torn hose

last weekend I did a visual check of the engine and I found a leaking vaccum hose that controls the passenger side BPV.
I didn't notice any power loss/gain caused by the leakage.
I think it was caused from the hose rubbing against something.
The ruptured hose caused that BPV to stay closed all the time. Which means the engine was getting max boost from that turbo; and since I didn't notice any power increase, I guess, the other BPV was opened wide to balance the boost by the ECU.
no DTC's were found using VAG-COM.
I hope my turbo is not damaged.

It might have actually still been working if the hose was at such an angle that the hole were closed
Not good though for sure. That's kind of an odd tear, that hose, and the stuff around it don't really move, so I don't know how it would rub anything. Really weird that there were no DTCs either. Make sure you let your service guy know and have him put it on your record just in case something pops up down the line.
