Default Torque converter replacement cost??

Any ideas how much this would run me? Also, should I get a rebuilt, performance, or new? Labor costs/hours? Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance..

Well, I just started it up and it is idling horribly. Also, whenever I give it some gas, rpms fall down to almost 500 and it feels like it's going to stall. This last week, driving around town, shifting between gears was very "clunky" especially from a stop. It would slip a little. I'm actually very apprehensive to drive it right now, but think I'm going to drop it off at 3zero3 this evening so they can look at in the AM.

Default Follow up..

Well, car is in "limp-home" mode. Won't exceed 20mph and will barely move at all. Will have to get it towed. Wish me luck..

Default Any chance you have water entering the car? TCM under the front pass. carpet(?) getting wet?

That is where it is on my S4. Haven't dug one out of an A6 yet. If it gets wet, you can have screwy symptoms.
