Totally useless post, but it is friday, and I still love my car
I didn't get to drive my A6 yesterday. I had such a headache, my girlfriend drove her car. When I got in my car this morning, it felt like it had been weeks since I got to drive my Audi. (had been one day)
Was so happy to be driving, forgot to drop child off at daycare,,, only made it a block past when child reminded me... she would have come to work, but she likes seeing her teacher. What are they teaching these kids.
Then, met other cars.... took the frontage road because the freeway was stopped. Was tailgated on the frontage road. The pinheaded thing about this was that the tailgater got off the frontage road, we were doing the posted 50mph, and entered the stopped traffic on the freeway. I couldn't understand that.
On the way to the highway, some kid thought 5 over wasn't fast enough on a side street, so he passed me on the shoulder and cut in front of me, no blinker, I like using my horn, so I did, for about 30 seconds. He turned off the road.
Then, on the freeway, being tailgated agian, I was in the slow lane, doing 5 over the limit,,, GF turned around and took a flash picture of the car,,, we keep a fake camera in the car to discourage tailgaters,,, lots of following distance after that.
Thought I was out of the woods, but no, a sleepy driver comes up from behind in fast lane on a curve and nearly sideswipes me,, on the horn again,, I am pretty sure I woke her up, she jerked back into her own lane and sped off.
Then, less than a mile later, another minivan does the same thing on another curve. I got the feeling they were looking at my car and not the road,,,, a driver safety instructor once told me you hit what you look at,, so if you want to miss the tree, look at the empty spot, not the tree.
Finally, the road opened up to 3 lanes and the last 5 minutes of the drive in was enjoyable.
It's raining, and almost time to go home,,, wish me luck.
I love my car.
