<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/32631/touareg_flashlight.jpg"></center><p>Folks,
I participated in a group buy with New Dimensions a few weeks back for the Tourag mini flashlight. It's actually a very cool little device. I fits perfectly into the front ashtray area (as long as it is pushed all the way in, the ashtray will open/close..no problem).
This little light is very bright and extremely useful. It emits a blue-ish Xenon color light. Very neat. I find myself reaching for it all the time at night. I usually keep a maglight in the glovebox...but it's usually under a pile of Dunkin Dounuts napkins etc...and not always easy to locate. Most recently, I used it to complete my Nav+ install (pix to follow) whildst I was working around the instrument cluster and dash areas. When I'm done using it...I put it back into the cigarette lighter socket for recharging.
I think it cost me $33 (shipped) as per the Group Buy...but you can purchase them online for $35+ shipping.
Happy Motoring!

PS: In case you are wondering....I don't work for New Dimensions. I'm just a happy customer. Enjoy!<ul><li><a href="http://www.ndimports.com/catalog/engine_perf/default.asp?product_group=OEM_vw&action=step_t wo&title=OEM%20LED%20Torch%20Light">Touareg mini flashlight to purchase online</a></li></ul>

This is a cool little light, pricey but cool. I got mine on GB over at Clubb5.com last summer when they first got em in. Very cool and very convenient.
It comes charged (in most cases) and holds a charge for a long long long time. I haven't charged mine in months and it still seems fine.
FYI, it has been known to blow fuses for non VW/Audi cars, but hey, fuses are cheap.
I too recommend it if you have about $40 burning a hole in your pocket, it has been invaluable so far.
It wont light up a football field, but if you have to change a tire, or take a look at something in the engine bay (or install a Nav
) it is perfect. Just another plug for such a cool little thing.

damn things have NO tow hooks. City slicker 4WDs for soccer moms. Had to use my backhoe to pull it out - wrapped the chain around the rear sway bar and finagled it by the exhaust system.
Lesson: don't take a 4 ton POS in the mud.
