Default Dont waste your money on that cheesey bit of crap. Go to

Walmart and buy yourself a million candle power or better spot light for less than $25. You will be able to light up anything 3 city blocks away. They plug into the cig lighter and come with a 25 foot cord. Just stow it in one of the trunk cubby holes.

Default It is a cool replacement. I bought about 10 of them for friends and family. Funny story:

Funny to me anyway.

My father-in-law, a gadget guy and really kid at heart, was visiting from Florida and was riding in the back seat of the avant. He sees the torch and starts playing with it.
"This is so cool"
"Take it. Use it in your car"
"Oh no, I couldn't do that. How much are they."
"Take it. They're cheap. I'll get another."
"Oh, no, I couldn't do that."
Something else happens and we drop the subject. A week later I'm vacuuming and the car, and I notice that the torch is gone. I laughed out loud.

I have one in the Miata (is that OK to do?) and it is awesome. The interior light is mounted on the passenger side next to the glovebox, so the driver's side is very dark at night. The lighter socket is just above the driver's knee. Half the time I turn it on I don't even pull it out of the socket.
