Default Ok stupid question-- What was your original code? Before you changed to O2, flanges, CV Boot?

Was it the air temp sensor? Or was this jist one on the list that is still nagging at you? Anyways, goodluck man, my advice, tackle the main problem head-on, pass inpsection, then work on the plate surround, scuff mark. And yes, I did see Iron Man, it was a good movie with cool special effects, but it was painfully obvious that Audi and Burger King and a few other sponsors donated some cash flow for the technical work. LMAO

Default Here's the original post on this...

(below)

BTW, you may want to check your sig. I think you've got a typo ("debadfed").<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/780577.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/a6/msgs/780577.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default Have you went back to OEM BPVs? If the CEL came on right after the fact...

could it be that the 710Ns set off a silly chain reaction of codes. How, I dunno, maybe bad install, (although you did say a competent machanic), but its suspect that it came on "right after" you upgaded the DV's. Good luck with this one man. Forced Induction is a PIMA, but fun when it snaps you neck back. Also, my first step when a code pops, is "three clicks" on fuel door. Couldnt hurt to clean MAF sensor too??

Default Thanks for the thoughts...

At this point, no reason to suspect the BPVs - I've discussed the history with the mechanic (VERY competent) and they are not considered valid suspects. The codes it's been pulling have changed somewhat over time, but the current one (P0113 - bad inlet air temp sensor) has been consistent. So, given the fact that this is the only one left (we've reset it several times and this is the only one that keeps coming back), I'm not inclined to suspect anything other that what we're now focusing on: bad IAT sensor or a faulty/loose connection.

Default Good luck with this, and hope you have a better week. Sounds like you have a plan of action. =)

Post the end results so we know what the culprit was.

Default No doubt. Just needed a little sympathy from the forum...

...which, OF COURSE, was delivered. Thanks to all for the commiseration.

I think the love affair will be renewed once I get her detailed again. Been a while since she's had her legendary shine. Other than the obnoxious CEL light, she still runs like a champ.

Default Nada

Other than having replaced the stock diverter valves with the OEM "N" version.
